There were a lot of articles about buspiron – non-benzodiazepine anxiolytic drug – in the scientific literature. These articles also followed its efficiency. As a drug without risk of dependency, buspiron is important in the treatment of addicts who suffer anxiety too. Buspiron was good tolerated, without side effects. All patients finished this study. Co-medication did not influence the results. There were no important serious somatic comorbidities found in both groups. Buspiron turns out as a suitable drug for treating trait – anxiety of addict patients.
