Government of the Slovak Republic in its program declaration, which was approved by the resolution No. 144/2012, in the chapter „Quality of life as a result of coherent society” committed itself to compliance with the acts concerning health protection and to adoption of antialcohol and antidrug measures. Based on the plan of tasks of the Government of the Slovak Republic, Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and intersectoral working group elaborated the new “National action plan for the problems with alcohol for the years 2013 – 2020”. National action plan for the problems with alcohol for the years 2013 – 2020 was approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic on 3rd July 2013 by the resolution No. 341/2013.
