Worldwide there are observed increase of fatalities in heroin addicted persons. Some of them are dying in connection with methadone consumption. In a case of death combination with a benzodiazepines alcohol were observed. In this paper are presented 6 cases of death in Bratislava with detection of methadone in biological tissues. All referred cases of death have also to do with a consumption of another psychoactive drugs. The findings are discussed.
