The submitted research is concerning with the attachment style of the addicted patients. The research sample consists of 76 patients in residential addiction treatment and of 28 patients in outpatient addiction treatment. In the research the following methods were administrated – Relationship Scale questionnaire, Relationship questionnaire, Shortened inventory for memories of parental rearing behaviours EMBU. The most frequent category of the attachment style was the category of dismissive attachment style among the patients in residential addiction treatment and the category of fearful attachment style among the patients in outpatient addiction treatment.
