The submitted work deals with the role of alcoholic beverages in persons of homosexual or ambiguous sexual orientation. Several literary data point out that the alcohol abuse is more common among homosexuals than in the majority population. We present the casuistics of two persons who underwent forensic psychiatric evaluation on the basis of which we have concluded that inebriation could play a role of the rationalization mechanism on their homosexual conduct or facilitate their coming out.
