Driving a public transport engine under the influence of addictive substance as a medical-juristic problem

The authors present a case of a potentially life-threatening consequences and health damage of passengers in publictransport – train, which was caused by arailway employee. The engine-driver of the local train caused unforeseen hazardous situations during train ride due to alcohol intoxication, he did not respect the travel schedule and seriously infringed working rules, railway policy and morals. The concentration of alcohol in the blood after appropriate backtracking calculation reached a concentration ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 g/kg, representing the level ofmild to moderate alcohol intoxication. We also demonstrate the forensic investigation of this case from a medical-juristic point of view, which lead to civil litigation process.
