Mephedrone is relatively new psychoactive drug on illegal markets. It is synthetic cathinone, structurally close to herbal cathinones. Effects are comparable to cocaine. Dominant is stimulation, and partly paranoid-halucinatory effects. Most frequent adverse effects are sympathomimetic effects. There are published first fatality cases.
