The authors deal with the inconsistency and irregularities in the formulation of diagnostic and forensic findings in this area. It is emphasized that the accurate description of psychiatric disorders according to the textbooks does not always have an absolute importance for the diagnosis and assessment. The authors also give information about the development of theoretical approaches in terms of various disorders associated with drinking or alcohol dependence.
