The authors compared the treatment results in delirium tremens (113 cases) and in pre-delerium states (93 cases) when administering Chlorpromazine and Meprobamate. They are of the opinion, that Meprobamate threatment is more suitable for easier cop ing with the states, with less side effects from psychiomotorics, vegetative and cardiovascular system. Treatment procedure is described.
